| junebug | Posted - 6 March 2010 0:12 Ok, about a month ago a friend and myself were in an accident which wasn`t to serious. My friend is hiv+ and I am hiv-. We both had injuries i.e. cuts. My friend blead a fair bit and myself a little. Here`s were I may have been exposed, when I was helping him and some of his blood got onto one of my cuts that had stop bleeding but may have still been open. After finishing helping him only then realised what had happened as my cut was stinging alittle which it wasn`t at the time it happened and had his blood on it. I was tested last week which would have been about 3 weeks after the accident give or take a week and it came back negative. Since the accident I have had cold like syptoms i.e. runny nose and a cough and a general feeling under the weather which come and go, painful knee, stomach problems i.e. runny stool or going more and pimples on my back. I was wondering if the test may have given a false reading or tested to soon. I know it was stupid at the time to let it happen but when your in an accident and shook up it`s harder to think straight and was worried about my friend being injuried. Any advice would be grateful. |

| junebug | Posted - 8 March 2010 12:43 My concern would be the stinging after I come in contact with my friends blood. as that have may been and sign that both our blood streams connected and exposed to HIV. I`ve tried searching to see if thats correct but can`t seem to find much info. Sorry if my post seems blunt but due to to forum it`s requesting certain words to make sure I`m not a spammer. |
