Seven days ago I got an attack of what I thought might be shingles. I had this before, about six years ago, and it was very nasty. So I spoke with a Doctor friend who let me know about an anti viral Virux to curb the onset of shingles. When I saw my friend a couple of days later the meds had made a big difference. Whereas I felt that I was dropping off a cliff into Shingles now I felt like my symptoms were under control. My friend advised me to get an aids test and I laughed this off as I have very little opportunity to have sex (last time was in early January of this year).
I was internetting up my symptoms and found them very disturbing. Aside from the possible shingles (my friend said it could also be herpes) I have had SUDDEN weight loss. I mean I went from being a bit plump to being slim in 3 weeks (more like 2 weeks). I spotted HIV as a possible for this in combination with my *maby* shingles / herpes.
Of course now I'm seeing the other symptoms and some of that is probably psychological.
I do have a little diarohea. I have a mouth sore inside my lip that I only noticed when I read the symptom.
It is now midnight where I am, so I'm quite some time away from getting a test which I will do ASAP. So anyone who can comment?
I'm very much out of the loop in terms of life expectancy. As I understand it, going onto meds can halt progress of the desease?
I'm in the third world. Can I get cheaper meds here if needed and any idea of cost?
