I am 4 mos pregnant and my HIV test came back indeterminate. I am so worried. I have been reading that pregnancy can often give this result. Is this true??? I went and retested and am waiting for results but the wait is killing me and I would like any information that you could give me to help me calm down.

Hi Ruby, sorry it took so long to get back to you.
Yes, pregnancy can skew the test results. It is good you are retesting.

I hope everything works out for you, please post and let us know

If an HIV test result comes back as indeterminate, the patient should get tested again.

OMG I had the same "indeterminate" HIV result a few times. I am not preggers, infact just got my period yesterday.

But yeah still in the same boat-scared and petrified!

Confidential HIV & AIDS Home Test Kit
Results over phone, anonymous testing in privacy of your home. FDA approved! Accurate!
This approved system uses a simple finger prick process for home blood collection which results in dried blood spots
on special paper. The dried blood spots are mailed to a laboratory with a confidential and anonymous personal
identification number (PIN), and analyzed by trained clinicians in a certified medical laboratory using the same
procedures that are used for samples taken in a doctor's office.
